As cores do corpo: Reflexões com base em dinâmicas trans

Abstract

The colors of the body: Reflections based on trans dynamics

The author relates the role of the body in the organization and cohesion of identity based on the dynamics and subjectivity of three types of cases in which questions of gender or the adequacy of the self arise: individuals who want to change their sex, individuals who do not identify with their assigned gender but have no intention  of changing sex and individuals who, having suffered from an early serious illness, seek to devalue their bodies.  Some ways of understanding the relationship between the body and gender are discussed, as well as some questions regarding gender of the relationship between body and gender are mentioned and some questions about gender fluidity are raised.
